Under the PRIME Initiative, the Foundation’s goals were to provide more systematic and targeted support to strengthen capacity for poverty reduction strategy processes. The PRIME Initiative specifically aimed to strengthen capacity for three clusters of functions, including: (i) Improved poverty analysis and profiling; (ii) Enhanced accountability including top-down as well as mutual accountability between donors and governments; and (iii) Generation and sharing of PRS-related cross-country knowledge at regional level.
