Louka T. Katseli is a Greek economist, development strategist and politician with extensive leadership experience at both national and international levels. She is a former Minister for the Economy, Competitiveness and Shipping and a former Minister for Labor and Social Security in Greece as well as former lawmaker who led the PASOK party’s Group in the Economics Committee of the Parliament of Greece.
At the international level, she has been Director of the OECD Development Centre; Acting Member, Vice Chair and Rapporteur of the United Nations Committee for Development Policy reporting to ECOSOC and the Secretary General; and Member of high-level United Nations and European Commission Committees.
Currently, she is Independent Non-Executive Chair of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Greece Cyprus LTD, Chair of the International Advisory Board of the Athens Development and Governance Institute, Member of the Group of 50 European personalities focusing on the workings of Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) of the European Commission and member of the Steering Committee of the European Association of Development Economics, (EADI).
She is also Professor of International Economics and Development at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens.
