    Introduction:

    The national Focal Point was established to provide a space for the government, private sector and civil society participation in planning, coordination including monitoring and implementation of capacity building initiatives in Uganda.

    Project Description:

    The activities of the Uganda NFP were coordinated by the National Planning Authority.  Objectives were:

    • Overseeing assessments of national capacities
    • Coordinating  national capacity building programs
    • Overseeing the integration and coherence of national capacity building into the Poverty Eradication Action Plan (PEAP) and National Development Plan.
    • Disseminating information on capacity building initiatives
    • Ensuring effective utilization of national capacity and promotion of synergy and exchange at national, regional and international levels.
