The International Conference on Taxation of the Digital Economy will take place from April 15-16, 2025, in Dakar, Senegal. This event aims to strengthen African countries capacity to effectively tax the digital economy, addressing the challenges and opportunities brought about by the rise of digital transactions.
Under the theme “Strengthening Capacity for Effective Digital Taxation in Africa”, the conference will convene policymakers, tax administrators, international experts, academics, and key stakeholders to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and discuss best practices in digital economy taxation.
Organized by the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and Budget in Senegal and the Finnish Institute of Public Management (HAUS). The International Conference on Taxation of the Digital Economy is also supported by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland through the African-Finnish Partnerships on Taxation Capacity in Africa (AFP-TCA) program.
The conference will provide a dynamic platform for exploring emerging trends, identifying challenges, and proposing solutions to advance digital taxation in Africa.
