A Vision for 2027
The ACBF Strategic Plan for 2023-2027 serves to enhance Africa’s transformation through capacity development. It emphasizes human capital and institutional strengthening to drive inclusive growth and sustainable development.
By 2027, ACBF envisions an Africa that is stronger, self-reliant, and globally competitive. Our work is laying the foundation for economic resilience, sustainable trade, food security, and governance excellence, ensuring that Africa thrives.
Stronger Economic Resilience: Africa must be equipped to withstand economic shocks and drive sustainable growth. ACBF is strengthening institutions, policies, and human capital to build economies that are adaptive, innovative, and less reliant on external support.
A Thriving Private Sector & Trade Growth: By facilitating intra-African trade and supporting SMEs, ACBF is unlocking new economic opportunities. Through strategic capacity-building, we are empowering businesses, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to maximize the benefits of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and industrialization.
Food Sovereignty & Sustainable Agriculture: A food-secure Africa is within reach. ACBF is reducing post-harvest losses, strengthening agribusiness value chains, and promoting private-sector investment in agriculture, ensuring that Africa can sustainably feed itself.
Governance, Accountability & Fiscal Stability: Strong institutions drive trust and sustainable development. ACBF is working to enhance transparency, fiscal responsibility, and leadership capacity, equipping policymakers to deliver lasting governance reforms.
