The African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) will be part of the 35th Ordinary Session of the African Union Executive Council in Niamey on the 4th and 5th of July 2019.  

The Ministers of External Affairs and other ministers or authorities designated by the governments of AU Member States will deliberate on issues on the agenda of the AU Summit in preparation of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the Union. 

The ACBF as a specialized agency of the African Union will participate, represented by Amb. Abdoulaye Diop

ACBF has been granted the status of a specialized agency because of the potential to transform Africa through capacity development.

Erastus Mwencha

The recognition of ACBF as the African Union’s Specialized Agency for Capacity Development launches the beginning of a new era for capacity building by ACBF, which will require an appropriate level of political commitment and financial support from all stakeholders.
